The Combat Wounded Service Organization (CWSO) was established in 2016 when Purple Heart recipients and their families saw a need to lean forward in order to "take care of our own".  That wounded veterans felt only peer veterans who had been wounded in combat would understand them.

CWSO assists combat & disabled veterans from every branch of service or conflict the veteran served, our assistance offers help with the transition to civilian life and a peaceful family life.  For over a decade, CWSO has remained independent and self-funded while serving 12,059 heroes.

A Legacy of
Service to Combat Veterans

Our goal is simple: to offer direct vital resources to veterans facing mental health struggles, traumatic brain injuries, housing instability or food insecurity. We are here to ensure no veteran feels forgotten or alone.  We provide a strong support network through peer counseling and social connection to group events that foster community.

CWSO helps veterans navigate claim benefits, find immediate assistance for urgent needs, and access expert information on suicide prevention. We specialize in outreach and resources for veterans dealing with the daily challenges of PTSD and TBI. By connecting families to the right tools, we empower our veteran families to stability, health and wellbeing, as well as hope for their future.
